Commonly Asked Questions

Are oatmeal pancakes healthy?

Yes! Oats alone are considered to be among the healthiest grains. Oats are gluten-free. It’s rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Adding it into our pancake batter definitely gives our soft and fluffy pancakes a healthy boost. We also suggest doing away with the syrup for a truly healthy meal. You can top it with fruits like strawberries to make it naturally sweet and more nutritious.

How do I make oatmeal pancakes without flour?

We can totally go flourless with this pancake recipe. You can use 1 1/2 cups of finely ground oats to replace 2/3 cup of all-purpose flour in this recipe, aside from the 1 cup of rolled oats for texture since oats are a good substitute for flour. You can pulse or blend your whole oats to a fine powder for a smoother texture for your pancakes. Another good flour replacement could be almond paste and egg whites. Do this by mixing 1 1/3 cup of almond paste and 1 large egg white. For gluten-free flour options, you can go with almond flour, buckwheat, cornmeal, and oat flour.
