Easy Cheesy Lemon Bars Recipe

These bars are rich. They are so smooth they melt in your mouth but light enough that there is always room for them, even after a substantial meal.


Enjoy the mouth-watering combination of cheese and lemon in your favorites dessert bars.

Ingredients

  • 17 oz lemon cake mix
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg , slightly beaten
  • 13½ oz lemon frosting mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine cake mix, butter, and the slughtly beaten egg.

  2. Mix with a fork until moist.

  3. Pat into a 13x9 pan, greased on bottom only.

  4. Blend frosting mix into cream cheese.

  5. Reserve ½ cup of cheese and frosting mixture.

  6. Add eggs to the remaining frosting mixture.

  7. Beat for 3 to 5 minutes.

  8. Spread over cake mixture.

  9. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes.

  10. Cool then spread top with reserved frosting mixture.
